a great left hook

Hey Frankie.....wadda' say - you think this guy needs a knuckle sandwich?"

These two rough-looking guys are my relatives - Chic and Frankie Maglione. Chic (christened as Charles) was famous for his wicked left-hook in his hometown of Akron, OH. He won several featherweight titles as an amateur, and then turned professional. He also taught boxing for several years at St.Vincent High School, his alma mater, and refereed over 1,000 bouts. Frankie is my great-grandfather, and was Chic's manager during his career.

As far as we know, they were unconnected with the mafia, but it appears that they had a quite the monopoly on the drying cleaning service in Akron.
