Today I collected the bounties of my first class action law suit; all this before I even finished my first year of law school. My teachers would be so proud. Here is the story:
I was on the Clark Howard web page (consumer advocate) and one of the links went to a website for a law suit against American Express. If you met the conditions of the claim, you could qualify. Basically, if you used AmEx outside of the US in the last 5 years, you could collect. So filled out the form and mailed it in.
Two months later and my check has come: $.28
Must have been a big settlement. Thanks lawyers.

so basically, the class action cost YOU money (9 whole cents baby!!) wow...the power of rule 23 (i meant this before...but i've been working with rule 11 at work and so i've got it on the brain)
