Summer daze

summer has flown by with many important events transpiring, but with no blogs to show for it. Katie and I moved from our duplex into a house for the last year of law school. We are excited to live here: the house is in a nice neighborhood, there is a large backyard for Pasha, and it will give us a little more space with our new arrival who is due to come August 25.

over the summer, we lived in Lexington, Kentucky. Katie worked in the farm office while I had an internship with a law firm. I really enjoyed working with the law firm and had a vast array of projects to work on over the summer. We loved being in Lexington and being close to Katie's family.

in the midst of moving within Athens and working in Kentucky for the summer, Katie also finished her undergraduate degree in Italian. It was somewhat miraculous, since her last requirement was to complete two math classes or test out of them. Katie taught herself calculus and other mathematical delights for a number of weeks, and passed the test with flying colors.

the best part of summer was visiting family. We had family reunions in Georgia and Illinois. Activities included canoeing, eating, soccer, volleyball, world cup watching (FORZA ITALIA!!!!!!), and making pretzels. It was a time for goodbyes on my side of the family as nick left on a mission for Germany and Robert and Brianna leave for the Caribbean.

that about sums it up. It is hard to believe that we will be parents in a few weeks. Surely more pictures will come in the near future.

Fantastico! Anxious to see Rosie "Love go where my Rosey's nose goes" or something like that... it's a good song
