Happy Birthday to Charlotte

i first want to affirm all that katie said about pride and prejudice. it may sound girlie, but it is one of my favorite movies too. we have watched it numerous times, and i still enjoy it. i think that i owe my sister all the knowledge i have about what women want. having 4 brothers made it difficult to be in touch with the feminine world. thank goodness we have charlotte. she brought the sound of music, anne of green gables, and little house on the prairie into our macho world of batman and star wars. charlotte always got after us for 1) not being nice to eachother, 2)watching too much tv, 3) not asking girls to dance at church dances. good thing she was there to help me, or else i might still be single.

in all seriousness, charlotte is the nicest, most kind hearted person i know. she is now the mother of perhaps the cutest family in west georgia, and she is a great example to everyone who knows her. in pride and prejudice, there is scene that reminds me of charlotte. elizabeth tells jane that she will never be as happy as jane, because she will never have jane's goodness. charlotte is always so happy, and i think it directly correlates with her goodness. frohlich gebursttag und hoch soch du lebst!!!

Oh Charlie, I remember when you were baptized soooo long ago. I chewed on a peice of rump roast the whole baptism, it was beautiful. In all seriousness, you are an amazing sister and over all person. I am glad to count you as one of us, for all that it is worth.
