In order to facilitate the buying of Christmas gifts by our dear family members (and possibily, generous friends or benefactors), we are putting our Christmas wish lists on the blog. And all those who by pure happenstance stumble across our blog, don't hesitate to contribute your good cheer by buying gifts for us. The list:
1. For those kindhearted individuals who decide this year to adopt a dog from their local humane societies, you are exempt from having to get us a Christmas gift. Seriously! We would be SOOO happy if you were to help a little pup in need, and that is what the Spirit of Christmas is all about. Helping those who can't help themselves.
2. If you don't want a dog (what's wrong with you!), then you can still contribute money to an animal shelter fund - especially those which are fundraising for spay/neuter programs.
3. Money. We are planning on doing an internship/study abroad-type thingie in ITALY this summer, and any contributions to the "Briant and Katie to Italy Fund" would be greatly appreciated. I mean, GREATLY, appreciated!! We still have to buy tickets, find and pay for a place to stay, pay rent on our place in Athens in the meantime, pay for travel (we are going South to see my ancestors!!!!), pay for food/living expenses, and perhaps the most costly area: souvenirs.
4. Guidebooks, etc for Rome. Some good thick ones that really talk about the art, history, architecture in Rome....perhaps not guidebooks, but books (that are relatively interesting, please) that discuss aspects about Rome that we, as tourists who want to not APPEAR to be tourists, should know about.
5. Gift certificate to Itunes.
We, in turn, would love to know what you want for Christmas. And we would also love to share the Christmas Spirit with those around us.....check out www.lds.org if you have some free time.
