giddy as a school girl

katie was so excited this morning for her first day of school in over a year. she was a little bit nervous of being at a new school with new professors, but she is so excited to study this semester. she has classes in two 2 senior level italian courses, an italian culture class, and a roman history. she bought her books last week, and i think she had already done most of her homework. there is a valuable lesson here: study what you love. school is a piece of cake for her because she loves italian so much.

as for me, another semester has started after a 4 week break. im glad that katie will be more likely to say "lets go to the library!!!" now that she has homework too. last semester, it was usually "let's go to blockbuster!!!" i am weak because my whole life roommates have distracted me from my studies (anyone who lived at the elms knows what im talking about). good luck to everyone in work, school, lsat, or breeding season.

Briant,
Your whiz of a sweetheart just emailed me an 1868 birth certificate for my great grandfather Raffaello Maglione. Thanks to her we have his parents' names and even his father's name Carmine Maglione who is Katie's great great great grandfather.
I'm so glad she's making time for genealogy in the midst of her studies.
Katie's cousin, Tim DeFrange

Briant, what you call "distracting" I call living. Eating Oreos, Ramen and watching Korean music videos until our Kidneys failed was a great period of our lives.

Wait. I meant it was a HORRIBLE part of our lives.

good luck to you both.
